Beyond Lyme? Risks from ticks in Tennessee
We share the woods and fields of Tennessee with hungry ticks that are keen to make a meal of us and our pets. Over the past several decades, ticks have begun infecting us with new diseases and, most recently, a strange ‘red meat allergy’. This talk will discuss some recent findings about ticks in the Southeast, and what this research says about future risks from ticks in the state.
