This fascinating event opens with Dr. Fernando Ontiveros, presenting his research on 3D printing tissue to use in organ transplant. He will discuss how it is possible and his efforts on making it a cost-effective practice.
Following a short intermission, a team of student researchers will present their findings in examining environmental factors, cellular proteins, and systemic responses (such as the release of stress hormones) that underlie certain chronic illnesses.
