Outbreak!

  • Ryan's Daughter 350 East 85th Street New York, NY, 10028 United States (map)

With the inventions of antibiotics and vaccines humans thought we had conquered the microbial world, but the emergence of new viruses and antibiotic-resistant bacteria has shown us that we were naive to think so. Join us for talks from two scientists who are continuing to fight to protect humans from the microbes that cause infectious disease. We promise only their enthusiasm for science will be contagious.

Where does the virus hide between outbreaks? How does the virus spillover into people? And are there other viruses lurking in the wings, poised to cause future human epidemics?
