Using nanotechnology researchers have developed the first rapid detector for dopamine, a chemical that is believed to play a role in various diseases such as Parkinson's, depression, and some cancers. The benefits of this ongoing research will be discussed during this talk.

What Cognitive Science Teaches Us about Trauma?

How often do we consider the effects trauma has on cognitive functions? Years of research indicates trauma not only changes cognitive function but can have staggering long term effects. During this talk what trauma looks like, documented cognitive changes that could occur, symptomatology, and recommendations for somatic experiences will be discussed.
