Can genes dictate behavior? What do caves in Tennessee tell us about evolution?
Come to this month's taste of science event to hear more!
108 West Jackson Avenue
Dr Keerthi Krishnan
First up, Keerthi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Tennessee. This Saturday, we're going to hear all about her research on Rett Syndrome, a rare Autism spectrum-associated neurodevelopmental disorder. She'll take us through how her lab uses genetic and behavioral information to study how the brain processes sensory information in different social situations.
Nick Gladstone
Then Nick, a graduate student at the University of Tennessee studying ecology and evolutionary biology will take us through his research on what the biodiversity in the 10,000+ caves right here in Tennessee tells us about evolution. You won't want to miss it!
