The Brain

  • DROM 85 Avenue A New York, NY, 10009 United States (map)

Congrats! You have been officially accepted into the Taste of Science Medical School! This month we will focus on the brain, from the neurons that allow us to process our surroundings to the sensory consequences when wires get crossed. Get a neuroscience refresher with Ido Davidesco, who will provide an overview of the neurons and brain regions involved in the sensory system. Greg Shankland will share stories about the three unwanted voices that live inside his head, a phenomenon he started experiencing at the age of 55. Finally, Guillermo Horga will share how doctors and researchers understand the neuroscience behind auditory hallucinations through scientific experiments. Join us for our special Brain Awareness Week event, and earn your medical school credits with a beer in hand!
