The mission of the ARTT Center of Excellence is to promote addiction research, treatment, and training at UT Health San Antonio and facilitate the translation of discoveries in basic science to clinical care. The BBC conference is a two-day scientific meeting that focuses on translational aspects of addiction research among chemists, biologists, and behavioral scientists. The diversity of participants and attendees at this meeting provides a unique venue for interaction among different disciplines and in so doing promotes new and innovative approaches to medications discovery and development in addictions biology.
