March for Science – Houston After Dark by Taste of Science

  • OKRA Charity Saloon 942 Congress Avenue Houston, TX, 77002 United States (map)

taste of science presents: March for Science — Houston After Dark!

Come and meet our local scientists as they step out of their labs and join us for drinks at Okra Charity Bar to speak about current research and scientific advancements in their field.

taste of science, part of a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, believes that science should be accessible to everyone so we bring high-profile researchers together with the community to discuss science in their favorite hangouts, whether that be a bar or cafe, park or museum. From April 23rd to 28th we will be holding our annual festival in Houston. We will have speakers discussing topics ranging from neuroscience to astronomy and laymen-accessible. Come and join us!

March for Science – Houston advocates for publicly communicated science — what better way to do that than to sit face to face with the scientists who make science happen? An educational, yet fun opportunity you won't want to miss.

If the crowd size grows over the limit of patrons that can becomfortably accomodated at Okra Bar, some of our scientists and guests will be moved to Public Services Wine & Whisky Bar located at 202 Travis St Suite 100.
