Restoration of Balance: Strategies for Mental Health and Stress

4PM PST | 5PM MST | 6PM CST | 7PM EST

Have you been feeling stressed, worried or anxious? If so, you aren’t alone–and taste of science San Antonio wants to help. As hard-working and community-driven individuals, it can get overwhelming to check off every task on the to-do list or attend to everyone’s needs both on and off the job. These responsibilities can often lead to a flurry of worry and stress. Consistently working in this stressful and anxiety-ridden state of mind can take a toll on overall mental wellbeing. Even more so as we approach the upcoming holidays and (potentially) finals season for students, finding balance between your occupation and lifestyle can be extremely difficult.

taste of science San Antonio wants to help you and serve your needs! So join us to learn ways to cope with stressors and devise mechanisms and maintain balance in your life.

This is an online event open to all. Check our YouTube channel for the live link.

Science Fail Fes

Sometimes people think that science is the antithesis of failure and a monolith of success. And, often, we only hear about the success in science: the innovative new treatment, the life-saving discovery, a novel pathway that will unlock the mysteries of disease… Surely success should be celebrated, but it can never fully be appreciated without understanding that failure is a large part of it. In science, failure is at the very core of its evidence base and a much-needed tool for development. It is something all scientists experience.

taste of science San Antonio is embracing failure in the month of October and partnering with our national taste of science collaborators to host an event that talks failure in science. Join us Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 for our version of Science Fail Fest. We will feature Pub style Science Fail Trivia- with a chance to win some really cool prizes!

Costumes are encouraged!!
